Infrared Cameras

Infrared cameras are cameras that use infrared radiation because their primary source of electricity. Unlike visible light cameras, infrared cameras have much smaller wavelengths( ranging from less than 400 nm to over 500 nm (roughly 100 times shorter than the wavelength of visible light). In reality, the most popular kinds of infrared cameras now are those which use the low-light detection technologies known as”short-wavelength infrared cameras” or SLIC. A thermographic camera is composed of a variety of infrared sensors, and unlike a standard camera which makes an image by forming an image by making use of lighting, an infrared camera produces its images utilizing infrared radiation. Rather than making a picture with light, a SWIR Camera System gets its images by emitting heat and employing this heat to form an image.

Different Forms of Infrared Cameras

Contrary to other forms of cameras which produce their pictures with visible or infrared light, an infrared camera makes its images by utilizing heat and turning it into a place. The infrared detector within an IR camera reads heat radiation, which passes through the camera of the glass lens and into the camera’s sensor. Machine Vision Imaging

To capture images at a higher frequency, then an IR thermal imager may be used. Thermal imaging can be applied to video or still graphics and is very effective for producing pictures that look like those made by fireworks. Some IR thermal imaging techniques allow for automatic image processing, although other systems supply greater manual control. IR video cameras might also be used in industrial applications, such as for inspecting machinery.
